New Programme funded by Equality for Women Measure

“The Equality for Women Measure 2010-2013 is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Human Capital Investment Operational Programme 2007-2013 and the Department of Justice and Equality”

Waterford Women's Centre is delighted to announce a new training programme aimed at enhancing the employability of women community activists.

The training specifically involves a Personal and Professional Portfolio Development approach to employability within the community sector and identification of transferrable skills to other sectors. Participants will also develop collective approaches to identifying employment sustainability. A major element of the programme includes individual supports such as work supervision, guidance and mentoring regarding progression into the labour market.
This programme will be delivered through a series of workshops which are designed based on the needs and delivered at times suitable to participants. All programmes include necessary supports, in recognition of the multiple roles of women in society, the need to accommodate these roles and create the conditions necessary to facilitate participation.
