Recognising the impact of class and gender conditioning the Women's Centre builds capacity and challenges barriers to facilitate women to participate at all levels of civil society. Focusing on class & gender equality, anti-poverty and social inclusion, we collectively challenge cultural, political and economic inequalities.

 The Waterford Women's Centre would like to wish all the women candidates in the local and European elections on Friday 23rd May 2014 the best of luck.  Lets use our votes and make sure this election brings us closer to equal representation of women in politics to reach 50/50 by 2020

 Mayor Cllr. John Cummins visited the Women's Centre during Waterford City Mayor's Health Week.  The Women's Centre had an open day to mark health week and welcomed the public in to see what we do.  In particular our Health and Wellbeing Programme was of great interest.  This programme offers a holistic proactive approach to health with swimming and gym, yoga, a range of affordable alternative therapies, circle dancing, meditation, healthy eating and much more.
